Materials used by Niki:
-
- 2B Pencil
- Hi Polymer Rubber
- Brushes:
- Rosemary and Co series 402. These are brilliant brushes as they have a great point and are super value.
- Size 5 and Size 8
- Rigger (Rosemary and Co series 366 size 4)
- Flat ¾ (Rosemary and Co series 769)
-
- Paper:
- Saunders Waterford Hot Press 425g. I will bring mine stretched on a board. The size I use is ½ imperial (approx 56 x 38), this is quite big.
- I understand if others wish to use different paper, but I recommend A3. An excellent value paper is the Seawhite A3 Watercolour paper 350g and this can be bought from artdiscount.co.uk.
- Stretched paper is always best, and there are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do this.
- If not stretching paper, then a board will be necessary along with masking tape to support the paper.
- Paper:
-
- Paint:
- I use Winsor & Newton professional watercolour. If you have different quality paint, then please substitute the Burnt Sienna for Burnt Umber.
- French Ultramarine
- Burnt Sienna
- Winsor Yellow Deep (Hansa if using a different paint quality)
- Winsor Orange
- Pastels: - I use Unison but these are expensive so any quality would be ok.
- Orange
- Turquoise
- White
- Biscuit
- Other:
- Hairdryer / Kitchen Roll / White Flat Plate (pallet)/ Jar for water/ masking tape.
- Paint:
