10.00am to 4:00pm
Charles Morris Hall, Tyttenhanger Green, Tyttenhanger, ST ALBANS, Hertfordshire, AL4 0RN
The hall has plenty of free parking.
Using the late Charles Reid as inspiration, Bridget will guide us through exploring how to sketch, followed by painting the clothed model in watercolour. The nature of watercolour will allow us to embrace a loose and lively style, observing colours and textures as we work. It will be an informal and interesting workshop. The morning model will be joined by a second model for the afternoon session. There will be changes of outfits.
What you need to bring:
Waterproof apron or old shirt. Please remember to bring your lunch and a mug for drinks which will be provided.
An array of water colour pencils are very useful plus a good set of paints. Some rougher drawing paper will be best to begin with, & for the painting, 300g watercolour paper is necessary - sizes larger than a4 is preferable. Smooth paper is great for this subject but not essential. Some wax candle cut into bits for resist/highlight effects are helpful. Rubber, pencil sharpeners.
